Wabash Valley Civil War Sesquicentennial Project

The Wabash Valley Civil War Sesquicentennial Project provides access to artifacts, manuscripts, records and images related to Indiana's participation in the American Civil War in general, and the Wabash Valley region in particular. The project also serves as a gateway to Indiana-related Civil War resources available in repositories across the State, in private collections and through the Internet. Based at Indiana State University's Cunningham Memorial Library, the project is a special collection within Wabash Valley Visions & Voices (WV3), a collaborative digital memory project that documents  the history and cultural heritage of west central Indiana.

In addition to items contributed by libraries, museums, archives and historical societies, the Sesquicentennial Project includes objects furnished by Indiana residents from personal and many family collections. Organizations and individuals who wish to participate in the project are encouraged to do so by providing digital images for the searchable database, the County Landmarks map, the Civil War Ancestors Photo Gallery and/or the Civil War Ancestors Registry.
